Amazingly, it has been two months since we launched our new website. We thank you for your patience and support during the transition period. The new website is very different from the previous one and it takes some getting used to. There were also some teething problems, such as glitches with the booking system for Masses, but these have now been sorted out.
We never stop working on the website. We continuously add content, not only to update you on what is happening in your parish but also to help you grow in your faith. For example, we have had some good feedback on the Advent and Christmas features such as crib and Christmas Octave reflections and even a virtual parish carol service which proved to be very popular.
Perhaps one of our biggest challenges so far in terms of the website is providing an online course for the First Holy Communion programme. We are lucky as a parish to have such a dedicated team of catechists as well as our new catechetical co-ordinator, Sophie Sullivan, who worked so passionately with Fr Antonio to develop the online course. It has now been going on for a couple of weeks and we’re happy to say that there hasn’t been any complaints from the parents of the FHC candidates so far.
We encourage you to make the most of the website by exploring all the landing pages for the main sections: About Us, Mass Times, Sacraments, Ministries and Resources. These have all been redesigned and expanded to bring you even more news, information and resources in an engaging and attractive way. Go on … you never know what you might find!
