Calling all young adults aged 18-35!
If you like making music and you have ever wondered what God’s plan is for your life, then this is for you…
Everyone is called by God in some form and the Vocation Music Award 2021 seeks to encourage young people to think about their calling and how we can encourage others to listen to God’s call in their lives.
You are invited to write an original song on the topic of vocation – God’s call in our lives – as part of a creative competition, for which there are cash prizes, as well as the opportunity to have your song professionally produced!
Here’s all you need to know:
- Upload a mobile phone or camera video (in one take – uncut) onto YouTube or WeTransfer and submit the link using the electronic application form
- You can submit a song as an individual performer or with a band
- Once songs are submitted, they will be released for voting online. The community can vote for your song until Sunday 15 August 2021
- A panel of judges will also evaluate your song – the lyrics and message of the song are paramount, but musical composition and arrangement will also form part of the evaluation
- Winners will be chosen using a combination of online votes and the judging panel’s evaluation
- In September 2021, the best songs will be shown during a live-streamed event, where three main prizes winners will be announced, as well as the runners-up
To qualify, songs need to be submitted by Saturday 31st July 2021, through the Vocation Music Award website. So do consider giving it a go!
