A Personal account from one of our RCIA Sponsors….
A group of equally excited and nervous people once stood in front of the Church, facing slightly confused but determined parishioners. They were about to take part in the ‘Rite of Acceptance’ and this wonderful moment took place on Saturday 8th January 2022.
On this very special evening we were able, as never before, to see and welcome “new life”-enquirers and candidates, seeking entrance into the Roman Catholic Church community and to become followers of Jesus Christ.
For me as a parishioner and also a sponsor to one of the enquirers, was a very uplifting ceremony of joy. I was honoured to share this experience with them.
Seeing people wanting to know and meet Jesus in the Roman Catholic Faith, especially for young adults like my two daughters, was an excellent example.
My heart is full of hope and blessings for all of the enquirers and candidates, and also for the sponsors, catechists and the whole parish.
Journeys to be good sponsors and catechists, good parishioners, and good members of the Roman Catholic Church.
