Contactless has arrived in our parish! You can now support your parish even when you don’t have cash in your wallet whenever you attend Mass at St Joseph’s by using the contactless machines situated near the entrance of the church. All you have to do is choose the amount you’d like to donate (anything from £1) and then either tap your card or swipe it.
The machines can also be used to pay for repository items and candles and make donations towards baptism, marriage and Mass intentions.
Those who don’t attend Mass at St Joseph’s need not feel left out. The new money giving system, called Dona, can be accessed through other ways. You can scan the QR code printed on the weekly newsletter with your mobile phone and this will take you to a Dona widget where you can enter the amount you would like to give and your card details. You can also find the same widget on the Donate page of our website.
Mike Carroll, chair of the Finance Committee, officially launched the new contactless system at all the Sunday Masses at St Joseph’s last weekend (5-6 March).
