Lent is the perfect time to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation or confession. We will have special times for confession at St Joseph and the English Martyrs Church during Holy Week (times to be published) but you should also feel free to go to other churches for confession, including Westminster Cathedral in Victoria.
The Cathedral is the mother church of our diocese and they will have frequent and extended slots for confessions in the two weeks leading up to Easter as follows:
Fifth Week of Lent
- Monday 27 March: 11:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 18:00
- Tuesday 28 March: 11:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 18:00
- Wednesday 29 March: 11:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 18:00
- Thursday 30 March: 11:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 18:00
- Friday 31 March: 11:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 18:00
- Saturday 1 April: 11:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 18:00
- Sunday 2 April: 10:00 – 13:00 and 17:00 – 18:45
Holy Week
- Monday 3 April: 11:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 18:00
- Tuesday 4 April: From after Chrism Mass until 18:00
- Wednesday 5 April: 11:00 – 13:00 and 16:00 – 18:00
- Maundy Thursday: 11:00 – 17:00
- Good Friday: 11:00 – 14:00
- Holy Saturday: 11:00 – 16:00
