Happy Feast to each parishioner!
What a great day to celebrate St Joseph! As we see little signs of spring sprouting up all around us, let us use it as a reminder today of the way St Joseph cared for and protected the infant Jesus, as he grew into a child, and then nurtured him, as he grew into a man, ready to begin his public ministry.
In the same way, let us give thanks today to St Joseph for his faithfulness and care over us. May we continue to call upon his protection for our parish and for each individual that is a part of this community.
Ordinarily, we would be excited to celebrate with a parish meal and social, which of course, is not possible in these trying times. Maybe today, each of us – in our own individual families – can spend a moment in our day in thanksgiving for and in celebration of our parish; whether it be lighting a candle or sharing a meal together.
Prayer of Entrustment
Dear St Joseph,
I entrust myself today to your loving care.
Be my protector and guide on this earthly pilgrimage.
Intercede for me that, like you,
I may be truly devoted to Jesus and Mary.
