It was wonderful to see our churches so full over the Easter Triduum!
Thank you to everyone who generously gave their time and helped over this Easter period.
We are blessed to have so many willing volunteers in our parish from those who clean the churches, read, sing, play music, serve, create beautiful flower arrangements, teach and support others, run groups, organise, visit the sick, look after the repositories, hand out hymn books, make tea, wash up, sit on committees, collect money and count money, the list is endless..!
On Holy Thursday, the Mass of the Lord’s Supper was celebrated at Most Holy Redeemer and St Joseph’s.
On Good Friday at our Children’s Stations of the Cross, a wonderful Easter garden was created with children adding pebbles and flowers ( a fabulous idea from Sophie our Catechetical Coordinator). This was followed by the Liturgy of the Passion.
Holy Saturday started with the blessing of the Easter food. Our Vigil Mass at St Joseph’s welcomed 10 new Catholics who were baptised and confirmed and 3 parishioners were received into the Church and confirmed by Bishop Paul Mc Aleenan. It was a wonderful evening!
Easter Sunday was filled with music, prayer, faith and friendship.
Alleluia He is Risen!
