I was born in the Philippines and I grew up in London. I gained my first degree in business and management studies at the University of Salford and later completed a masters degree in digital media in London Metropolitan University. My employment history includes being a publicity assistant for the London Borough of Newham, a communications officer for Caritas Manila and the Royal College of Nursing, and a web editor for Brunel University.
I thought that my MA in digital media would be my final dabble in education but God had other ideas. I was accepted for priestly training in 2011 when Cardinal Vincent sent me to Rome for seven years of formation at the Venerable English College, the national seminary for England and Wales.
While in Rome, I studied Philosophy at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (aka the Angelicum) and Theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University. In 2016, I went back to the Angelicum to study for my Licentiate in Spiritual Theology. On completion, I was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Westminster on 28 July 2018 in my home parish, St George’s Church, Sudbury.
My first parish assignment was in Borehamwood where I stayed for two years. In November 2020, I moved to Bishop’s Stortford, replacing Fr Carlos as Assistant Priest.
When not praying or celebrating Mass, I turn to my many passions to keep me inspired. These include reading and collecting books. I particularly enjoy reading epic fantasies and collecting classics and children’s books. Technology is another big passion. I love desktop publishing (designing various publications) and creating websites.
