Kicking off this October, TheASCENT is a ground-breaking programme, aimed especially for young people in year 10, 11 or 12 who want to grow their faith. It is a three year discipleship process for Catholic young people who want to embrace their faith in Jesus Christ at a whole new level and learn how to share it with others.
First launched in 2013 at the Sion Catholic Community for Evangelism, the process is currently run in three locations around the UK, where over 100 young people have or are participating. It is led by a competent and enthusiastic team of volunteers who give over 15,000 hours of their time a year to support the young people in their discipleship journeys.
The nearest location to our parish is the Sion Community’s main hub in Brentwoord Essex. This programme would be ideal for any young person who has made their confirmation or feels they are ready to go deeper in their faith journey. For more information, go to theASCENT website.
