A familiar and welcome face will be returning to Bishop’s Stortford this Sunday, 16 January when Fr Carlos comes to celebrate the 9:00 and 11:00 am Masses at St Joseph and the English Martyrs Church, as well as a baptism at 12:30 pm.
Originally only scheduled to do the baptism, Fr Carlos has kindly agreed to celebrate the two Sunday morning Masses as well to help the parish as Fr Peter continues to be out of action because of his illness. His assistance will enable Fr Antonio to celebrate Masses at Sawbridgeworth and Much Hadham this Sunday.
Fr Carlos preceded Fr Antonio as Assistant Priest of the Catholic Parish of Bishop’s Stortford (2017 to 2020). In particular, he is fondly remembered by the staff and pupils of St Joseph’s School where he provided pastoral care and support, as well as by catechists of the First Holy Communion and RCIA programmes.
