First Holy Communion Programme 2025

Children's Sessions

There will be eight children's sessions, held at St Joseph's Church and the Parish Centre. These are compulsory.

Sunday Mass Attendance

Children are expected to attend Mass on Sundays. They will need to give their "star" to Fr Marco or Fr Peter during the Mass.

Online Quizzes

There is a compulsory online quiz for every chapter of the book. Children are expected to complete and submit the quizzes within a week after that chapter is covered in the normal children's sessions.

Parents' Sessions

There will be six parents' sessions at St Joseph's Church. At least one parent per child should attend. Children may come but not required.

Book Donations

We ask for a suggested donation of £20 to cover the costs of your child’s FHC book and parent’s guide (which are yours to keep), as well as the provision of other resources throughout the programme.

Welcome to the First Holy Communion Programme 2025. We will use the book I Belong, published by the Redemptorists. This portal offers additional resources to help your child get the best out of the book. It offers summaries of the chapters, as well as questions to prompt further thinking, activities and videos to watch.
